Faith, Wellness & Mindset: How I’m Weaving Spirituality into My Self-Care
Hey friends 💛
Today’s post feels a little more personal, but it’s something that’s been on my heart as my wellness journey continues to evolve: bringing faith and spirituality into my self-care.
When I first started focusing on my health, I was all about the physical stuff—better sleep, healthier meals, movement. And don’t get me wrong, those things are so important. But I started noticing that even when my body was cared for, my heart and mind sometimes still felt... empty. 😞
That’s when I realized: true wellness is about wholeness.
Reconnecting with My Faith
I’ll be honest—I drifted away from my faith for a while. Life got busy, things felt overwhelming, and leaning into spirituality wasn’t a top priority.
But as I worked on grounding myself through habits like gratitude journaling, reading, and mindfulness, I felt a pull to bring my faith back into the picture. I started small—picking up my Bible again, praying more intentionally, and reflecting on scripture alongside my journaling.
What I found? It brought me a sense of peace and purpose that went deeper than any habit alone could.
How It Looks in My Daily Life
Weaving faith into my self-care hasn’t been about creating a whole new routine—it’s been about infusing what I already do with intention and presence. Here’s what that looks like for me:
✨ Morning coffee & prayer. Before scrolling or diving into the day, I take a few deep breaths, say a prayer of gratitude, and center my thoughts.
✨ Reading my Bible at night. After my evening wind-down, I spend quiet time reading scripture before journaling. It’s become one of my favorite parts of the day.
✨ Journaling with reflection. I’ll often write about what I read—how it applies to my life or what stood out to me.
✨ Faith-based reading. I’ve mixed in personal development books and faith-based reads to nurture both my mind and soul.
✨ Worship music while tidying. It lifts my mood and keeps my mindset positive, even during the most mundane tasks.
Why It Matters
For me, faith brings an anchor of hope and trust—especially on hard days when anxiety, self-doubt, or overwhelm creep in. It reminds me that I’m not doing life alone and helps me keep my eyes on a bigger picture.
I’ve also found that when my spirit feels nourished, my mindset is naturally stronger. I’m more patient, more kind (to others and myself), and more grounded—qualities that ripple into every part of my wellness.
An Encouragement for You 💫
Whether faith is a part of your life or not, I believe we all benefit from tuning into something deeper—whether it’s spiritual, mindfulness-based, or simply a sense of connectedness to the world around us.
My biggest encouragement? Don’t be afraid to make your wellness journey yours. It’s okay if it looks different than someone else’s. Wellness is personal, and it’s all about what helps you feel whole, supported, and at peace.
